On 30th April 2016, the Sports Department organised its 1st event of the new academic year – Sr. Girls Table Tennis and Sr. Boys Football a game that can be enjoyed by individuals of any age. The Table Tennis event was consisted of 2 players and 1 substitute from each house. The 1st match began between Satpura and Khasi, With full determination, Satpura won the match 12-9. 2nd set of the players were from Satpura and Khasi, which was won by Satpura of 12-7. So, Satpura won the 1st match against Khasi. The 2nd match was between Ajanta and Shevroy. 1st of players were from Ajanta and from Shevroy, with Shevroy wins the match by a very good lead of 12-4. Players from Ajanta and Shevroy were sent next, with Shevroy winning by 12-10, a very close win. Hence, Shevroy and Satpura reached the finals. The 3rd match was between Ajanta and Khasi, fighting for the 3rd position. Ajanta won the 1st set against Khasi by 12-7, and Ajanta won the 2nd set against Khasi of 12-9, giving Ajanta House the 3rd position. The finals were between Satpura and Shevroy, with Shevroy winning the 1st set by a great lead against Satpura by 12-4, but Satpura not ready to accept the 2nd position, won the 2nd set against Shevroy by 12-10. Now this was a tie between Satpura and Shevroy. For the last and the final match, Shevroy House sent Mansi Singh and Satpura House sent Shivangi Narula. With great focus and a desire to win, Mansi Singh won with a great score of 7-0!! So, Shevroy house got the first position, Satpura House got the second position, Ajanta House got the third position and Khasi House got the fourth position. Second Event for the day kick-started by Sr. Boys Football , The first match was between Khasi & Shevroy as it was decided by picking up chits by the house Captains. This match was refereed by Negi sir. It was a thrilling match as both teams had scored one each until the last 5 minutes. Until Shevroy scored another one and moved into the finals. The next match was between Satpura and Ajanta, where Satpura managed to win the match quite easily. The finals between  Satpura and Shevroy was won by Satpura by 2-0. And the following match was won by Ajanta which gave them the third position. All 4 teams played very well and displayed sportsmanship irrespective of their position. Looking forward to a great year in the field of sports!
